Yet Few Realize How It Impacts the Climate CrisisBy: World Economic Forum This paper highlights that climate change is often seen as the primary challenge of our time, although water insecurity is equally critical and interconnected with climate issues. A BSI poll of 9,300 people revealed that only 45% consider water security as important as climate change, and just one in six hear politicians discussing it. This is alarming, especially given that findings showed that nearly a third of 41 countries have worsened in water security since 2023, with Spain and T%u00fcrkiye being particularly affected. It is vital to raise awareness about water insecurity and work towards solutions, as progress is possible if we collectively commit to action.
